2019 EFMD Global Network Asia Annual Conference

The EFMD Global Network Asia Annual Conference has been designed for all those interested in management education and development. It brings together EFMD Global Network members, companies, educational institutions and other associations that have an interest in Asia. This includes Deans, Deputy and Associate Deans, International Relations Directors, Programme Directors, Executive Education Directors and other Business School and Executive Development Professionals.

The Conference will be followed by an EFMD Quality Services Seminar – devoted to the EFMD quality improvement and development systems – on Saturday 9 November 2019.  The Seminar is aimed at Schools that consider EFMD accreditation or mentoring but have not yet decided if or when to start the process. You can find all information here

Knowing the context of region with reference to demographics and geo-political aspects. Importance of tourism industry, Chinese firms and developing business (Banking/distributing/manufacturing/electronic equipment) or The main Business Sector in the Region (Media/ Technology/food industry/textiles) in the regional ecosystem.

Moving from an academic H-index, top international journal-publication based research, to an applied research with significant managerial Impact and relevance with local corporates. Influence of the politics and government in the region on businesses, how can BS help in defining and strengthening the corporate respect. Will this improve the positioning and ranking of “hidden gems”. Will this trigger more alternate sources of funding the research with a purpose from external agencies.

Working alone results in low benchmark, while working together, sets high standards. Can networks be an enabler, how do we leverage it. Can BS act as corporate think tank for new age partnership to harness the land of opportunities.

Its need of the hour. We need to prepare our graduates for the roles and jobs we don’t know of ourselves. How to think beyond and prepare for the new contexts, types of opportunities, continuously learn and evolve. We need life-long learners, can we design courses and BS which focus on life-long learning – practices and strategies! Can AI from corporates help train better the new age graduates. When technology connects through Gig Economy, block chain more – how can BS connect better for a lasting impact.
