The MEBF alumni association was formed in January 2010, following the initiative discussed among the 02 MEBF program scientific directors and alumni during the MEBF Gathering Party 2009. At the very beginning, the MEBF alumni association starts with professional workshops or roundtables with CFVG’s professors coming from Europe and top executive managers of the field in Vietnam. In January 2010, the first workshop on “Merger & Acquisition” with Prof. Jioty Gupta has been organized in Hanoi with nearly 30 MEBF graduates, which is recognized as the first success in connecting this potential network. “The idea is that the group of MEBF alumni and students are now large enough to form an association which enable us to make leverage of a wide network in banking and finance industry, to exchange knowledge and views, to hold professional activities etc… and last but not least, to strengthen the MEBF program position amongst others” said Ms. Bui Thu Thuy, MEBF graduate – 1st intake, Director, Head of Investors & Intermediaries, Standard Chartered Bank Limited.
