CFVG facilitates the connection of European and Vietnamese education

CFVG and ESCP Europe have jointly organized a successful study trip by 60 master students to Vietnam. ESCP Europe, the main foreign partner of CFVG, is a leading business school in Europe. The objective of this study trip, which takes place from 1 to 8 February 2010, is to provide European students of ESCP Europe with the opportunity of studying about the emerging Vietnamese economy. Its aim was to enhance their understanding about the economic context, the society and the culture of Vietnam, especially on the consumption and the marketing sides.

Participants to this trip include 60 students who are following the Specialized Master in Marketing & Communication of ESCP Europe at Paris and Madrid (which opened in 2008) Campuses. This program aims at training a new generation of managers at the cutting edge of the marketing and communication with focuses combining an academic and applied approach. The program uses real-life case studies, strategic marketing simulations, and first-hand accounts from professionals in the field.

During the 01-week study trip, the delegation had attended conferences made by professional speakers in Vietnam, including Dr. Martin Rama (Chief Economist of World Bank Vietnam), Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tai (Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM)), Dr. Doan Hoang Minh (Professor at National Economics University (NEU)), and Mrs. Dang Thuy Ha (Associate Director - Nielsen). The conferences’ purpose is to provide them with an overall picture of the Vietnamese economy and some insights of the Vietnamese consumers. The students also visit some big corporations in Vietnam such as Techcombank, Unilever Vietnam, Big C Vietnam, Unilever, Buffalo resort in Mai Chau… At the visits, the students are introduced about the company and interesting remarks for business practices in different sectors in Vietnam. The students can also take this opportunity to discover Vietnam with famous tourist destinations such as Old Quarter of Hanoi, Ha Long Bay… Within the program, a meeting between ESCP Europe students and CFVG’s alumni and students is hosted by CFVG. This event fosters the exchange of knowledge, experience and funs among the students from various social and cultural backgrounds.
